Connective has announced the details of its 2020 learning and development program, themed ‘Elevate and Inspire’ and crafted to help usher brokers from the tumult of 2019 into a new year of prosperity.

The “intense scrutiny” of the last 12 months served to unify the industry, revealing the unshakeable work ethic and value of brokers, who were not only able to perform despite the chaos, but embraced the “new normal” and managed to thrive.

Now that brokers have defended their ground and proven their worth, it’s time for the industry to take it to the next level, according to Connective director Mark Haron.

Speaking to Australian Broker, he explained, “We have themed our 2020 Learning and Development program ‘Elevate and Inspire’ because we believe the year ahead will provide an opportunity for brokers to elevate themselves and their businesses and inspire each other to best serve their customers.

“If brokers embrace this mindset, then 2020 should prove to be a prosperous year for them.”

The program comprises of over 150 events including compliance and business growth workshops, PD days, networking functions, lender exhibitions, and a series of ‘Empower’ events designed to support female brokers in growing their businesses and forming connections with one other.

“Our Learning and Development program has always been at the core of our proposition, and our focus on providing our brokers with the knowledge and skills to thrive in an evolving environment has never been greater,” said Haron.

Education has become more crucial than ever, with the Connective director anticipating technology and the harnessing of data to play a huge role in brokers more deeply understanding the behaviours of their existing and potential client base – allowing for more targeted, personalised and relevant communication than ever before.

“Brokers should focus on better leveraging technology to create efficiencies in all aspects of their job in the year ahead,” he said.

“Harnessing the right technologies in the right way is the new frontier for brokers seeking to turbo-charge efficiency and drive profitability.”

Last month, Haron was awarded a spot on the inaugural Mortgage Global 100 – a list of those around the world making a real difference within the mortgage industry, drawn from Key Media’s global portfolio of mortgage publications.

Australian Broker recently sat down with the top Aussie talent from the list to discuss their inspirations, top tips for success and plans for the year ahead.

The story will be featured in the next issue, out 27 January
