Finsure has appointed a highly experienced executive as its new head of operations.

Kon Shizas (pictured) has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

He previously worked at Commonwealth Bank as general manager operations for eChoice, a wholly owned subsidiary of CBA,  and prior to that he was product and client service manager at ZY.

“I am an operations specialist with experience in business operations, aggregation services and executive leadership within the financial services industry,” Shizas said.

“My expertise in building collaborative and customer centric operations and broker support teams balance the need to manage risk and continue to deliver improved process efficiencies.”

Shizas said he was excited to join a Finsure, an aggregation group with a strong focus on supporting its broker network and delivering tools and services to assist brokers to grow and protect their businesses moving forward.

“I am also excited to be playing a role in building out and delivering some of the new initiatives that Finsure will be delivering to its broker network over the next 12 months and beyond,” he said.

Shizas said Finsure members would find in him someone that was willing to listen and genuinely care about supporting them and their business.

“My focus over my first three months will be to listen, learn and look for ways to optimise core internal processes,” he said.

“I will work with the Finsure team to further empower brokers through improved broker support services and reporting.”

Shizas said he was excited about the opportunities at Finsure, working with the management team and broker network.

“Finsure has made some tremendous accomplishments since it was established just over a decade ago and I am to delighted to be given the chance to play a part in the Group’s continuing success,” he said.

Finsure CEO Simon Bednar said Shizas’ extensive experience in product design and distribution, business operations and aggregation support services, had been welcomed.

“We are delighted to have Kon join Finsure as the head of our operations team which supports a growing network of 2,400 brokers and the delivery of our expanding service proposition,” Bednar said.

“Kon’s passion is developing and implementing growth strategies, streamlining businesses processes, integrating risk frameworks, while improving the customer and broker experience using data analytics and technology enhancements.”

In other senior management changes at Finsure, national learning and development manager Anthony Zveglic, takes on the new role of head of people and development, with a focus on proactive broker training and development.

Meanwhile, development and productivity manager Fatima Dib has become head of broker innovation.
