Sydney's women in finance flocked to the Eastern Suburbs Thursday morning to celebrate Women’s History Month in style.

Guests arrive at Flint's Sheinvests x IWD breakfast.

Dressed in their finest black and white frocks (with a few shades of pink, too), more than 80 women in finance — including mortgage brokers, BDMs, real estate agents, buyer's agents, bankers and accountants — dined over acai bowls and black forest pancakes at the Botanica Vaucluse while honouring the achievements women have made in Australia's financial sector.

Yena Choi performed violin during the event.

The event — dubbed Sheinvests x IWD — was hosted by boutique mortgage brokerage Flint Group's newly-formed Sheinvests, a women-led initiative started by the women at Flint, and featured special guest Dominique Gill, founder and managing director of construction firm Urban Core, alongside a performance by violinist Yena Choi.

"The turnout has been incredible and it's so fantastic to see so many women connecting and meeting new people who they may have never met before," Lauren Franzmann, mortgage broker and senior customer experience manager at Flint Group, told Australian Broker.

"It's really about being able to connect women with other women who can help each other continue to grow and build and progress in the environment," she continued. "And it's events like these where we hope to inspire the next generation of girls joining the industry to stay in the industry."

Nikolina Stevens (pictured top left), wife of Flint Co-founder Christian Stevens, added that the women "are all really inspiring, especially when we're all together; we kind of bounce off each other."

During a speech, Gill added that "we need more diversity.

"What's important for women — if they are going to become leaders — is that they need to understand the benefits that they bring to the workforce. The value that we bring as women," she explained, highlighting traits such as empathy and the ability to ask questions and support one another.

Franzmann also revealed plans for Flint to host more Sheinvests' events beyond just Women's History Month or on International Women's Day, so women can learn from each other. The initiative will include webinars, education sessions and potentially a podcast, with a stop in Newcastle, New South Wales slated for the coming quarter.

Guests received treats to take home.

Meanwhile, Flint Group, which Christian Stevens co-founded with Redom Syed in 2025, continues to grow. In December, the group quietly merged with Brisbane-based brokerage FPW Group as it expanded in the Queensland market. The firm, which offers services in both residential and commercial, also has offices in Newcastle, Noosa and Griffiths, New South Wales.
