Major mortgage franchise Aussie Home Loans has recruited another Australian sports star to its franchise network.

Former Canterbury Bulldogs player, Trent Cutler has joined experienced finance professional David Moodie to establish a brand new Aussie franchise in Sydney’s Alexandria.

Cutler, who is also a qualified property valuer, says the South Sydney area is thriving for young couples and families.

“David and I are finding there is a lot of activity amongst young couples and families who are coming into the South Sydney area to buy apartments in the many high density developments around Green Square,” he said.

Cutler gained his mortgage broking qualifications through Aussie in 2012, with former Socceroo squad member, Joel Griffiths.

Aussie chief executive James Symond says former athletes carry many attributes that are aligned with being successful mortgage brokers.

“We are keen to get more sports people to our fast growing stable of mortgage brokers and franchisees, as they bring commitment, passion and dedication to Aussie customers, like they have in their previous careers,” he said.

“We are very proud of our award winning training and development programs enabling people with or without financial services experience to launch into a new career in a fast growing industry, which now provides more than 50% of all home loans in Australia.”
