A non-bank lender has announced the appointment of its New Zealand business head.

Resimac has welcomed Luke Jackson, former CEO of Southern Cross Financial, to lead its New Zealand operations and “drive the company’s ambitious nationwide growth strategy.”

Before his four years serving as chief executive at Southern Cross Financial, Jackson held senior commercial lending roles with BNZ and ASB Bank in Auckland.

According to Resimac CEO, Scott McWilliam, it’s this “deep knowledge of the New Zealand mortgage market and lending experience” that have made Jackson so well-suited for the position.

McWilliam added, “We are delighted to welcome Luke to the organisation. He is a respected leader in the financial services industry in New Zealand with the perfect skillset to leverage Resimac’s growth in [the market] and lead it through the next phase.”

Jackson assumed his new role this week and will be supported by a “strong local team” moving forward.
