A non-bank mortgage lender has undertaken efforts to expand, creating new roles within the company and recruiting experienced industry players.

Better Choice Home Loans executive director Allan Savins intends for the new appointments to stimulate further growth while simultaneously improving the business’ responsiveness.

He said, “We’re experiencing high demand from brokers who want a lender who can provide genuine product solutions for their clients in a faster timeframe.

"With nine funding lines, Better Choice offers an increasingly diverse range of solutions to our introducers,” he added.

Key to this effort is new NSW business development manager Lili Barron. Barron has more than 13 years of experience in financial services, having acted as a state or relationship manager with Suncorp, Pepper, ALI Group, Australian First Mortgage and Resimac.

According to Savins, “Lili brings highly valued industry knowledge and experience to Better Choice and we look forward to her contribution.”

The lender has also recruited talent for several other existing and newly introduced company roles, such as a specialist lending credit manager and a commercial underwriter.

Savins says the appointments will support the growth of a commercial product range launched late last year. They will also allow the team to “continue to deliver on our service level agreements despite exponential growth.”

The executive director is confident the staffing changes of the past two months will improve efficiency and allow for the continued swift and reliable service Better Choice customers have come to expect.
