A national mortgage and finance sub-aggregator has appointed a national business development manager (BDM).

Former compliance officer at AFG, Eilis O'Callaghan has joined the team at Buyers Choice in a newly created role.

With over 15 years' experience in the finance and mortgage broking industry, she has also held roles at PLAN Australia. She will be responsible for supporting existing brokers as well as onboarding new members.

Buyers Choice director, Brett Mansfield, said the new role would support the company in its ongoing growth trajectory.

He added, "Following a period of strong business growth, we identified the opportunity to increase our resources and skillset within the business. Eilis brings with her a range of skills which complement our current structure, including five years in a compliance focused role where she gained invaluable insights into the processes, tools and resources used by successful brokers.

“Leveraging this experience, we are excited to see Ms O’Callaghan add value to our members and support our continued growth.”

As a sub-aggregation group within the PLAN Australia network, Buyers Choice has been assisting new to industry to brokers to enter the industry and build successful businesses for five years.

Its membership has grown to more than 180 brokers with a loan book worth $4 billion.

Mansfield said, “Offering a branded business model, the strong community culture of the group provides an ideal support platform for brokers who wish to own and operate their own mortgage broking business.”

O’Callaghan said she was excited by the opportunity to work with brokers in a one on one capacity, helping them to develop their individual businesses. She added, “The strong culture at Buyers Choice was a major attraction and I look forward to working with our members nationally.”
