A non-bank lender has announced the addition of two industry veterans to its BDM team.

Homeloans Ltd has appointed two new BDMs - Natalie Sheehan in Victoria and Janelle Packman in Queensland. The lender said the appointments were in line with its push to grow new business.

"We’re intent on capitalising on the opportunities within the third party mortgage market – and providing strong support to our brokers is crucial to achieve this. We already have a strong, dynamic BDM team and we continue to bolster our team to partner with brokers and help drive growth. We see that there’s more growth to come, so are further strengthening our support structure to leverage this," Homeloans general manager of sales Ray Hair said.

Both new BDMs have extensive experience in the banking and finance industry, Homeloans said. Sheehan has qualifications in accounting, banking and finance and law as well as practical experience in non-conforming, specialist and prime lending.

"I’m passionate about the mortgage broking industry and third party distribution and am looking forward to the opportunity of building strong, sustainable relationships with Homeloans’ business partners,” Sheehan said.

“I have been on both sides of the fence – both in credit and as a broker myself, so I have a good understanding of what is required from a BDM’s and broker’s perspective,” Packman said.
