by Amy Rosenfeld24 Jan 2014
Suncorp Bank has announced the appointment of ex-Macquarie broker head Steven Degetto to the role of head of intermediaries.

As state manager of intermediaries for Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia for Suncorp Bank, Degetto has been an integral part of the Intermediaries Leadership Team over the past two years.

Degetto has been heavily involved in strategy design, change implementation and the overall success of the intermediaries channel.

Suncorp Bank’s executive general manager Danny Robinson says Degetto is passionate about the third party industry and brings over 20 years banking experience to the role.

“Steven has held senior positions with Macquarie Bank and the Commonwealth Bank and is well known and regarded within the third party industry,” said Robinson.

Steven has been acting in the role of head of intermediaries for the past three months and has played an integral role in building momentum to deliver on Suncorp Bank’s growth strategy.

“Steven will continue to deliver on the things that matter to our brokers, like our Service Guarantee, providing direct access to a credit assessor, real time online access to submitted applications and our expert BDM support,” said Robinson.

Degetto’s appointment is effective immediately.

No, you didn't read the release did you James. He's been with Suncorp for two years so an internal appointment, good move from Suncorp.
Even if he did work with Macquarie what are the bank staff supposed to do, stay with one company for 30 years, good career move that would be....NOT!
