Non-major lender, Suncorp Bank has appointed seven new business development officers in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth to “bolster” the strength of its broker relationships.

The new team will work alongside the Suncorp Bank BDMs to provide additional support services to brokers, including submission support, says Suncorp Bank’s head of intermediaries, Steven Degetto.

“Establishing strong relationships with our broker partners has always been a priority for us as we continue to look for new ways to simplify and improve our offering to them,” he said.

“While we understand the need for user friendly technology and innovative programs, the value of a personal service shouldn’t be underestimated.”

Degetto says that the expansion of its third party team will prove to brokers that they are a committed and competitive alternative to the major banks.

“We’re committed to providing a genuine alternative in our target markets by offering the personal service of a small bank and the strength of a big bank.

“We are confident in our products and services and believe our expanded relationship team will help us continue to deliver the tailored banking solutions our broker partners and customers are seeking,” he concluded.
