Non-bank lender Pepper Money, recently named “Specialty Lender” at this year’s Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) State Excellence Awards, has launched a new nationwide radio advertising campaign, bringing its “Really Helpful Loan Options” brand promise to life through the voices of the people behind the business.

Following its recent Wests Tigers TV campaign, the new series of light-hearted radio and digital audio ads features real employees from departments including customer support, legal, marketing, and executive leadership — all stepping up to the mic to share what “really helpful” means to them.

Real voices highlight Pepper Money’s service culture

The voice cast includes Barry Saoud (pictured), Pepper Money general manager of mortgages and commercial lending, who joined team members in recording the jingle and ad spots.

“At Pepper Money, being helpful isn’t just something we say – it’s how we operate every day,” Saoud said. “Despite my children’s objections to hearing dad’s terrible singing on the radio, it was a fun way to show that no matter the role, we’re all here to roll up our sleeves and help our customers and brokers to succeed.”

Behind the scenes: Inclusive culture on air

Chief marketing officer Sarah Pikardt said the campaign captures the inclusive spirit and strong service mindset that sets Pepper Money apart.

“What’s special about this campaign is hearing from the beating heart of Pepper Money - our people,” Pikardt said. “These are the everyday voices who help our customers and brokers succeed, making us the first-choice non-bank.

“Whether they’re on the phone helping customers navigate their unique borrowing needs, out on the road supporting a broker, improving our experience behind the scenes, or giving back to local communities, our team always find a way to be really helpful.”

Internal culture fuels external brand

The people-led campaign builds on Pepper Money’s strong internal culture. The company’s 2025 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Survey found that 84% of staff feel comfortable being themselves at work, while 80% report a strong sense of belonging.

“What we call the Pepper Money family, shines through in this radio campaign; reflecting the inclusive, diverse voices and personalities that make Pepper Money not only a trusted brand, but an employer of choice in the industry,” Pikardt said.

A podcast with purpose: Customer team goes on air

Pepper Money customer lending manager Rosie De Bartolo also joined the recording effort, describing it as a natural extension of her day-to-day customer service role.

“Usually, I'm helping customers one call at a time - so getting to voice a radio ad felt like helping even more at once,” De Bartolo said. “It felt a bit like being on a podcast with purpose - we laughed a lot between takes.”

Campaign now live across Australia

The Pepper Money “Really Helpful” radio campaign is now live across commercial radio and digital audio platforms nationwide. Each ad highlights a specific lending message voiced by a real team member:
