Major aggregator PLAN Australia has announced its inaugural digital professional development day, highlighting its commitment to on-going innovation for its network of mortgage brokers.

Going live on 24 February 2016, the online PD day includes six live sessions available for brokers to stream via mobile devices. According to PLAN, the sessions will be fully collaborative and interactive, with brokers able to submit questions to the presenters and panellists with a recoded video message using a smart phone, or via text.

PLAN Australia CEO Phil Quin-Conroy said the new event builds on the success of the aggregator’s inaugural commercial and asset finance digital summit, which took place in June 2015.

“At PLAN Australia, leveraging technology to improve efficiency underpins how we operate. By launching this digital PD day we are delivering the best possible professional development, knowledge sharing and business planning to brokers in an accessible and convenient format.

“Digital events are an efficient and engaging way for brokers to access professional development opportunities. While we recognise the importance of face-to-face interaction, this event does allow for more brokers to access quality training and support. This is especially relevant for regional brokers who may have limited scope to attend training events in person.”

The digital sessions will cover varied topics including using technology as a business enabler, growing business in a complex environment and diversification.
