Brokers working with non-bank SME lender Prime Capital can now track applications in real time through a new online Broker Portal.
The portal runs on desktop and mobile, so users can check updates, add documents to a file, and use the lender’s guides and calculators whether they are in the office or on the road.
New deals can be lodged through Prime Approve, the lender’s online application platform, and followed through to settlement. Instead of a password, brokers use their email address and a one-time code sent to their inbox to sign in.
The portal extends Prime Capital’s earlier investment in Prime Approve. Digital support now covers a deal from lodgement through to settlement, not just the point of submission.
Prime Capital chief executive Steve Sampson (pictured) said the aim was to put the information and tools originators rely on day to day within easier reach.
“We’re always looking for ways to make it easier for brokers to do business with Prime Capital,” Sampson said.
The lender says it has spent more than 29 years in the broker channel and has settled over $4 billion in loans with no losses.
The investment comes as commercial lending through brokers grows. Broker-settled commercial, business, and asset finance reached $52.3 billion in 2025, up from $41.1 billion a year earlier, according to the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia’s (MFAA) State of Mortgage & Finance Broking Report 2026.
Prime Capital has framed the launch as an addition to its service model rather than a shift away from personal contact. Its business development managers (BDMs) will continue to work with brokers on individual deals, with the portal acting as a second, self-serve channel.
“Technology should make the process simpler, but strong broker relationships remain central to our business,” Sampson said.
He said brokers could still turn to their BDMs to work through deals.
“The portal gives brokers another way to access information and take action when it suits them,” Sampson said.
Brokers can find out more through their BDM or by calling Prime Capital on 1300 766 076.
