A start-up challenger aggregator has announced an ex-PLAN Australia head as its head of aggregation services.

Melbourne-based My Local Broker, which is set to officially launch in the market in early 2016, claims it is a disruptive and technology-driven retail and aggregation platform. Leading the launch slated for next year, Michelle Middlemo has been appointed as head of aggregation services, effective 1 February 2016.

Middlemo , who was formerly head of sales, north region of PLAN Australia, has a wealth of banking and finance experience spanning 29 years. For the past 20 years, she has worked in sales and management roles within third party mortgage distribution channels, initially with lenders and for the past 12 years in aggregation with PLAN Australia.

Jaci Smith, CEO of My Local Broker said Middlemo will be a central figure in assuring the aggregator hits the ground running when it launches early in the new year.

“Michelle’s appointment is a big coup for My Local Broker. Her industry knowledge, experience and leadership will be invaluable in helping us establish and grow our brand,” she said.
