Lodgements were the strongest ever recorded for a January by Lendi Group, the company behind Aussie Home Loans and digital mortgage brand Lendi.

This, according to co-founder Sebastian Watkins, has positioned the company for a “winning year.”

Strategic investments fuel growth

The success follows a strategic increase in marketing investments for the Aussie brand.

“We’ve been ramping up our spend on the Aussie brand over time, as we’ve seen better broker efficiencies wash through, and in January we committed a significant media investment across out-of-home (OOH), digital, and television advertising,” Watkins said.

This media blitz is part of a broader strategy that includes the development of customer-facing tools like the Aussie App and ongoing enhancements to its platform.

The Aussie app: A catalyst for engagement

Launched in mid-2024, the Aussie app has already been downloaded more than 80,000 times and has facilitated more than 400,000 sessions. These figures translate into substantial customer engagement and increased appointment bookings.

Watkins credits this deep dive into the customer experience with driving the desired outcomes, emphasizing the pivotal role of brokers in this success.

“Going deeper into the customer experience is helping drive the kind of outcomes we hoped for but none of this would be possible without the efforts of our brokers," he said.

Local success stories

Highlighting the local impact, the Aussie Prospect store in South Australia has driven over 1,000 app downloads.

“Encouraging my clients to download the app isn’t just about convenience, it’s about creating a smarter, more efficient way to engage with them,” said Matthew Rose, franchisee of Aussie Prospect.

Rose said that the app has not only improved client interactions but also resulted in higher-quality leads and increased client retention.

Looking forward: A tech-driven future

Watkins hinted at more success stories, driven by brokers’ adept use of technology to achieve tangible commercial benefits.

Next month, Lendi Group will host its bi-annual broker conference to unveil new broker-centred product developments.
