Hope Island, Queensland, is the Aussie summer party house capital, new listing research by Ray White has revealed.

The national real estate agency has picked out the suburb where the most properties for sale have a pool, a spa, or a sauna – three ingredients needed for a good time at home over the holidays.

Hope Island, a canal-side suburb of the Gold Coast, known for its luxury real estate and glittering backyard pools, is home to the majority of the listings that have the holy trinity of pool, spa, and sauna, nine.com.au reported.

It’s also in the Gold Coast postcode where one can find the most listings with just pools; while Melbourne, with its chillier conditions, is where the most houses for sale with spas are located, with the outer suburb of Rowville ranking first.

For her last economic weekly report of the year, Ray White economist Nerida Conisbee went to find

the ultimate great Aussie party locations over summer, nine.com.au reported.

“Although not particularly scientific, I have looked at the suburbs that have the most houses containing one of these summer favourites – swimming pool, spa, or sauna,” she said. “And for the ultimate party suburb, the areas with the most homes containing all three. Using listings data across Australia over the past two years, we have taken a look at how many times pool, spa, and sauna have been included in the description when a property is for sale.

“The ultimate party suburbs are dominated by Gold Coast and Melbourne, two very different regions of Australia. And the ultimate party destination is Hope Island. With a median of $1.5 million, it is the suburb you are most likely to find a home with the trifecta of pool, spa, and sauna.”
