AMP Bank has announced two senior leadership appointments aimed at enhancing its broker partnerships and customer experience.
From Sept. 8, Paul Herbert (pictured left) will step into the newly created role of head of lending and everyday banking customer success. Herbert will oversee the end-to-end delivery of service and experiences for home lending and everyday banking customers.
He has been with AMP Bank for four years as head of lending and everyday banking distribution and is recognised as a strong advocate for both customers and the broker channel.
As part of the leadership transition, Travis Hall (pictured right) has been appointed national manager of mortgage broker distribution. In this role, Hall will lead AMP Bank’s broker partnerships, supported by his business development team.
Michael Christofides, AMP Bank’s director of lending and everyday banking, said the leadership changes underline the bank’s ongoing commitment to its core stakeholders.
“Paul has made a significant contribution to strengthening AMP Bank’s distribution over the past four years, and we’re delighted he will now lead our focus on customer success,” Christofides said. “At the same time, Travis brings deep industry experience and a strong track record of working closely with brokers and aggregator partners.
“Together, their leadership will ensure AMP Bank continues to deliver outstanding service, strengthen our partnerships, and provide more value to customers.”
The appointments come as AMP Bank’s mortgage book grew 2.8% year-over-year to $23.3 billion in Q2 2025, with the bank prioritising margins over volume but also investing in digital platforms to support brokers and customers.
AMP Bank recently launched its digital lending origination platform, designed to give brokers and customers a more streamlined and faster lending experience.
