A regional bank has named its new head of broker distribution as part of an internal leadership shakeup that has also seen the creation of two new roles.

Adelaide Bank has confirmed that Amanda James, who was previously head of third party banking support, has been appointed head of broker distribution, effective 17 December.

Darren Kasehagen, the current head of distribution for Adelaide Bank will now take on James’ previous responsibilities in a new role as head of third party banking after Fons Caminiti took on the newly created role of senior manager for mortgage partners, in October. Cosi Lanzoni has been appointed as senior manager of strategic partners, also effective from 17 December 2018.

James said, “I’m delighted to be able to take up the opportunity to lead our mortgage broker distribution team and work more closely with our valued mortgage broker partners.

“At Adelaide Bank, mortgage brokers are the core of our business and a healthy, vibrant and competitive broker industry is fundamental to ensuring a robust home loan market.

"I am keen to work closely together with our partners as we navigate through the present changing environment. As a bank, we are fully committed to the broker industry and have a number of improvements to the interactive process in train for brokers that I look forward to sharing in the coming months”, she concluded.

Commenting on his new role, Kasehagen said, “Our whole business relies on brokers and the valued relationships we have with brokers. Adelaide Bank is fully committed to growing in this industry.

“Amanda has significant experience and a great understanding of the broker market, having been working in and around our broker offering for more than a decade. She is the perfect fit for the role, especially in the landscape of ongoing change currently upon us.

“These new appointments will enable Adelaide Bank to further deepen our engagement and improve relationships with our brokers and partners to deliver an even better experience for customers,” he concluded.
