Billion-dollar Wollongong broker sells franchise stake in to rising star

One of the most successful brokers in Australia, Paul Wright, has sold up his prime Wollongong broker franchise to Dino Di Donato, an up-and-coming star of the industry.

Wright, who has been named MoneyQuest Broker of the Year three times consecutively and passed a billion dollars in settlements last month, passed on his broker franchise after two decades.

He sold it to former Liberty Network Services (LNS) broker Di Donato, who was named as LNS Rookie of the Year in 2016 and achieved the most settlements under his previous network in 2020 and 2021.

The franchise covers the Wollongong area, which has been ranked among the hottest in Australia in the last year. It features both the sea changer demographic and the exclusive, expanding commuter belt that has come since Covid made working from home permanently a reality for many high-earning Sydney residents.

“First and foremost, I love helping people, and my passion for assisting others will be evident at MoneyQuest Wollongong, just as it has been in previous roles,” said Di Donato.

“Having worked in the accounting and finance space for more than 20 years, I have extensive experience in complex finance transactions, the commercial and development finance space, and in SMSF lending.”
