The Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs) are gearing up for their return: bigger, bolder and ready to honour the best in Australia's loan market.
The yearly celebration – scheduled for Oct. 17 at the Fullerton Hotel Sydney in the central business district – recognises excellence in the mortgage broking industry over the last 12 months by way of top brokers, brokerages, lenders, aggregators, BDMs and service providers.
The AMAs also offers broking industry professionals a valuable opportunity to network, exchange best practices and celebrate in style – donning their finest black-tie frocks and raising a glass of champagne as they await the announcement of winners across 28 award categories.
Brokers, lenders and industry insiders ready to suit up for the mortgage industry’s most glamorous gala of the year can grab their tickets here. But don’t wait – they’re going fast.
Nominations for the 2025 Australian Mortgage Awards open Monday, June 2, and close July 1. Finalists (Excellence Awardees) will be announced on Aug. 11. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony.
This year’s event will include iconic Australian singer Daryl Braithwaite (pictured) as the feature act, with popular comedian and television host Dave Hughes serving as MC for the evening.
Braithwaite first made waves as the frontman of iconic 1970s Aussie band Sherbet, before striking gold with a solo career that includes timeless hits like the 1974 classic "You're My World." His 1990 album Rise included the cover song "The Horses," which reached number one on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) hit singles chart. The song continues to resonate as a timeless anthem for generations of Australians. In 2017, he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. Today, he’s still turning heads, with duets including the likes of Harry Styles.
Matthew Fernihough, executive officer at mortgage management firm FinSecure, which is sponsoring feature act Daryl Braithwaite, said: “We’re proud to be sponsoring the AMAs again this year, as they provide an incredible platform to recognise the hard work and professionalism of brokers who are vital to the strength of our industry and economy.
“Brokers are not just partners. They’re the backbone of our growth story," he said. "We look forward to celebrating their achievements and our shared success at this year’s awards night.”
Fernihough also highlighted FinSecure's record-breaking growth and the instrumental role brokers have played in its success.
“2025 has been a standout year for FinSecure," he said. "We’ve achieved record settlement volumes, expanded our national footprint and experienced double-digit growth across all key performance metrics. This success is a direct result of the trust and loyalty shown by brokers across the country, who continue to choose FinSecure as a lending partner of choice.”
