A leading mortgage broker has hired a new State Manager as part of its increased commitment to South Australia and the Northern Territory.

The appointment comes after Aussie Home Loans expanded its number of stores in Darwin and regional areas of the NT.

New State Manager SA/NT Aaron Hockey was formerly a Regional Manager with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. As part of his new role, he will have responsibility for supporting and growing Aussie’s SA and NT network which includes 12 retail stores, over 30 mobile mortgage brokers and six team members.

Aussie’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr James Symond, said they had reviewed their sales structures to ensure brokers got the focus and resources they needed for their businesses.

He added: “We have many standout franchise stores and mobile brokers in SA and NT, such as Aussie Prospect and Aussie Darwin among others, and Aaron will be instrumental in supporting them grow their businesses while also increasing our footprint.

“Aaron has significant experience in leading a large distribution network and a strong understanding of the local SA and NT markets. He gets how to implement innovative customer focused strategies which deliver results and will be a great asset to our sales leadership team and SA and NT franchisees and brokers.”

Born and raised in Adelaide, Hockey spent five years in management positions with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s retail business Bendigo Bank in Adelaide, Darwin and Perth, with his last position as Regional Manager. Mr Hockey was previously a credit manager with Elders Rural Services and a manager with National Australia Bank.
