The former general manager of third party distribution at Westpac will be leaving the major and moving to a new lender in 2019.

Today, (29 November), Tony MacRae has been announced as the new general manager of banking at MyState Bank.

Up until June this year, MacRae had been overseeing Westpac Group’s ongoing mortgage broker distribution initiatives as head of third party.

In June, it was announced he would be national general manager of retail home ownership distribution, where he was responsible for strategic sales leadership of Westpac’s physical and digital salesforce.

MacRae will lead MyState’s banking division which includes retail, call centres, business and agri-business, as well as the mortgage broker channel.

He has also formerly held key positions such as acting CEO of RAMS ane senior roles with PMI and Virgin Money Australia.

MyState’s managing director and CEO, Melos Sulicich, said, “We are delighted to welcome Tony to our executive team. Tony brings with him a wealth of experience in the banking sector and extensive and proven record for strategic execution and transformational growth.”
