Non-bank lender Liberty will continue as the Melbourne Renegades’ Principal Partner for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL|15) and Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL|11) seasons.

The announcement marks Liberty’s seventh consecutive year supporting the Renegades, making it the club’s longest-serving partner since the partnership began in 2019.

The renewal was unveiled alongside the launch of the Big Bash x New Balance Kit, featuring a refreshed Renegades jersey for both men’s and women’s competitions. The updated apparel prominently displays the Liberty logo across all WBBL and BBL playing and training kits.

Shared values drive continued partnership

Liberty Chief Distribution Officer David Smith (pictured top) said the company was proud to continue its support for a club that reflects the lender’s values of diversity, innovation, and resilience.

“We have been incredibly proud to support the Renegades as their longest serving partner and watch them go from strength to strength over the last six years,” Smith said.

“This has been a fantastic partnership as Liberty’s free-thinking approach to lending perfectly aligns with the bold and innovative spirit of the ‘Gades.

“We’re thrilled to continue as Principal Partner of such a diverse and inclusive club and look forward to the excitement of the upcoming WBBL|11 and BBL|15 seasons.”

Partnership built on community and inclusion

Melbourne Renegades General Manager James Rosengarten said the partnership has expanded significantly across both the men’s and women’s programs.

“Liberty have been outstanding supporters of our club for several years now, and we’re thrilled to continue working with them,” Rosengarten said. “Their commitment to both our men’s and women’s programs has played a big role in our journey.”

He added that the partnership goes beyond branding, with shared values of community engagement, inclusion, and innovation at its core.

“Liberty has always believed in what the Renegades stand for and we were thrilled to share last year’s WBBL championship with them,” Rosengarten said. “This season is another chance for us to build on that partnership and to connect Liberty with our members and fans in new and exciting ways.”
