A lender that “champions the self-employed” has launched a digital loan portal, offering brokers and mortgage managers instant access to their customer’s data.

Specialist lender RedZed specialises in secured home loans and commercial mortgages to self-employed borrowers. Each loan is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and the appropriateness of each loan is based on each individual’s or company's circumstances.

Its new platform, called Introducer Connect, marks the beginning of its digital initiative to invest in its broker distribution network through providing mortgage 24/7 access to their client profiles, loan application information and key correspondence, such as formal approval letters.

Introducer Connect was developed from broker feedback, with industry engagement shaping the project from day one, according to chief information officer John Walshe.

“This allowed us to build a portal that addresses the specific requirements of those using it,” Walshe said.

“There are a number of exciting initiatives on our technology roadmap that will have a significant positive impact on the experience our customers have with RedZed.”

Brokers can view the real-time status, action dates and key loan data such as the outstanding balance of a loan, available funds, what the current LVR is, repayments and terms.

Head of sales, Adrian Fisher said, “The new portal is an example of the significance RedZed places on the customer experience and its broker and mortgage managers. We are pleased to announce a gateway for simpler and quicker communication.”

The lender has also assured the Introducer Connect platform will employ rigorous protocols to ensure the security and protection of personal data.
