ANZ is now the sole banking provider for SA government

ANZ has been appointed as the sole provider of core banking services for the South Australian government.

The deal will see ANZ providing transaction banking services and purchase cards to all SA government agencies over a five-year term with the option to extend for a further five years. Meanwhile, ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions, the joint venture between ANZ and payments provider Worldline, will provide merchant services.

“We’re very pleased to be partnering with the South Australian government to provide reliable and innovative banking services to the people and businesses of SA,” said Mark Whelan, ANZ group executive institutional.

“We’re looking forward to delivering our digital and technology capabilities to support the government’s transformation agenda,” said Lisa Vasic, ANZ managing director transaction banking.

“We’re proud to be collaborating with our joint venture partner ANZ to combine the best of merchant services technology with banking services for the South Australian government,” said Petr Ryska, ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions CEO.
