“We built Aussie for Agents with a simple idea—better outcomes for customers and agents,” said Sebastian Watkins (pictured), co-founder of Lendi Group.
“Because Aussie is already helping so many Australians with their home buying journey every month, we don’t need to make money from listings. Our model will be VPA-free forever.”
The launch follows Lendi Group’s recent expansion of the Aussie brand, announced at its Thrive25 conference in Sydney, where it outlined plans to grow broker numbers and build a fully integrated property ecosystem.
The launch marks a significant milestone in Aussie’s transformation from a mortgage broking brand into a full-scale property ecosystem designed to help Australians find, buy, and own property.
“Our move to a property ecosystem is about bringing that same fair go approach to searching and buying. It’s a powerful step-change,” Watkins said.
“A key part of this strategy is delivering a powerful search experience, which we’re launching next quarter, allowing customers to search for listings or explore millions of properties with rich data and insights in our property hub.”
Aussie for Agents offers real estate professionals the ability to list off-market, pre-market, and on-market properties—including auctions—without incurring vendor-paid advertising (VPA) costs.
Rhett Dallwitz, general manager of agent services and formerly of Listing Loop, highlighted the advantages for agents.
"We’ve built Aussie for Agents from the ground up to help agents earn more and customers pay less,” Dallwitz said.
“Our focus is on giving agents a competitive edge: quality vendor and buyer opportunities, powerful listing exposure, and a genuine alternative to traditional advertising without the hefty price tag.”
Some features of Aussie for Agents include:
Agents do not need to partner with Aussie for home loans to use the platform, but optional white-label and referral partnerships are available to unlock further revenue potential.
“We’re inviting agents across Australia to join us in building a better, more transparent, and more profitable real estate experience,” Dallwitz said.
“Our platform is open to all agents across Australia with no requirement to partner with Aussie for home loans.
“Together, we can help more Australians buy and sell property and put more money back in the pockets of both customers and agents.”
In the long term, Aussie’s 220 retail stores will transition into integrated property hubs. These will combine home loan brokerage services with property listings and buying and selling support.
