Non-bank lender Bluestone Home Loans has launched a limited-time rate discount for brokers, following the RBA's decision to hold the cash rate at 4.35% amid continued concern that inflation remains too high.
From 17 August to 25 September, Bluestone is offering 0.25% p.a. off rates across all products up to 80% LVR, applicable to eligible new loan applications submitted during the promotional window and settled within six months.
The offer spans Bluestone's full lending suite, including residential, commercial, and SMSF loans, and is designed to give brokers a fresh entry point with clients who may have paused their plans amid ongoing cost-of-living pressure.
Chief commercial officer Tony MacRae (pictured) said the promotion gives brokers a practical reason to check back in with borrowers who have been sitting on the sidelines.
"While the RBA has left rates unchanged, many borrowers may still be weighing up when the right time is to make their next move," MacRae said.
"This offer gives brokers a timely reason to reconnect with customers and revisit plans that may have been put on hold and could be just enough to help them take another look at what's possible."
With the big four banks tipping no further movement in the cash rate this year — and any relief not expected until 2027, Bluestone's offer gives brokers a concrete reason to act now rather than wait.
Bluestone has positioned the promotion as an extension of its broader focus on borrowers who fall outside conventional lending criteria — including the self-employed, those recovering from a credit event, and applicants with non-standard financial circumstances.
"For more than 26 years, we've worked alongside brokers to support customers whose circumstances don't always fit the traditional lending mould," MacRae said. "Whether they're self-employed, rebuilding after a credit event, or navigating a more complex financial situation, we're focused on helping brokers find a way forward for more customers."
The lender said the discount adds practical value for brokers heading into what's expected to be a competitive spring selling season, as buyer activity typically picks up over the coming months.
Applications must be submitted within the promotional window and meet standard eligibility criteria, with fees, charges and terms and conditions applying.
