Non-conforming lending through Finsure's network has risen sharply this year, prompting the aggregator to expand its white label range with a new private lending partner.
John Lafferrarie (pictured), Finsure head of white label, said the trend reflects broader shifts in the lending landscape.
"We have seen a 68% increase in the percentage of non-conforming loans written through Finsure Loans since January,” Lafferrarie said. “While it is hard to narrow it to one reason, I believe changes in prime lending policies have resulted in more borrowers looking for alternative lending options.”
In response, Finsure has launched Finsure Loans Ascend, a new white label offering backed by fund manager Australian Secure Capital Fund (ASCF). The addition gives brokers access to bridging finance, first and second mortgages, and short-term business loans, adding to Finsure's existing white label suite.
Lafferrarie said the partnership was designed to help brokers serve a wider range of clients.
"Private lending solutions give our brokers the opportunity to support a broader customer base, particularly business customers who may not meet traditional borrowing requirements," he said.
"By adding Finsure Loans Ascend to our white label offering, we are giving brokers another valuable option to help meet that growing demand."
ASCF CEO Richard Taylor described the tie-up as a logical next step in the two companies' relationship, rather than a new venture built from scratch.
"We have always had a close relationship with Finsure, which is now culminating in our white label partnership," Taylor said.
He added that the timing reflects broader shifts underway in the lending and property markets, pointing to recent legislative changes as a factor reshaping the kind of flexibility brokers now need to offer clients.
"As the property market continues to evolve off the back of recent legislative changes, I have no doubt our flexible solutions will give brokers the options they need to support more clients," Taylor said.
Finsure said the new offering sits alongside its existing white label lending products, reinforcing its broader push to give brokers a wider range of solutions as borrower needs continue to shift.
