Bridgit welcomes new head of distribution

Non-bank Bridgit has appointed financial services and aggregator expert Stephen Doyle as its new head of distribution.

In his new role, Doyle (pictured above) will be responsible for strengthening Bridgit’s broker offering, building the BDM team across Australia and expanding his expertise to engage aggregators.

Bridgit specialises in bridging loans and offering same-day approval to consumers through proprietary technology, as well as assisting homeowners looking to purchase their next property quickly and seamlessly.

Doyle has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including 20 years working directly with aggregators. Most recently, Doyle was the director of growth for the Loan Market Group and prior to this he was a national sales manager at NAB and state director (NSW/ACT) at AFG.

“I am excited to be joining Bridgit at this pivotal growth stage of the business,” Doyle said.

“There is a huge opportunity for Bridgit to revolutionise bridging finance with their simple, tech-driven solution for customers and to help mortgage brokers provide clients with an option so they can secure their next home before selling their existing property.”

Doyle said there was a huge gap in this market which Bridgit is now fulfilling.

“I look forward to building relationships with my new colleagues and fostering those with my fellow industry professionals and channelling my previous skills working with brokers and aggregators to further propel Bridgit,” he said. “Bridgit’s offering fills a gap in the market for the broker network and to be in a position where I can help the business take this opportunity and service this gap excites me.”

Doyle said he was looking forward to disrupting the industry and being part of building technology that supports the broker community with the end customer always at the forefront of the transaction.

“To build the distribution team and to continue to work with the amazing third-party distribution channel is very much a highlight,” he said.

“Bridgit differs through its product offering and the market is severely lacking a flexible specialised bridging solution. It’s technology is custom built to service bridging loans, plus the team are specialists in this product and the policy allows flexibility for homeowners. We are giving brokers an opportunity to expand what they can offer their clients.”

Bridgit CEO and co-founder Aaron Bassin said he was thrilled to welcome Doyle to the Bridgit team.

“Stephen’s previous extensive experience and his expertise in building relationships and teams will be a great asset to the next stage of growth for the company,” he said.
