MFAA accredited brokers have a new way to stand out and win business, with the association rolling out a major upgrade to its Find a Broker website.

MFAA CEO Anja Pannek (pictured) said the refreshed platform is designed to help accredited brokers attract new clients in a crowded market while deepening relationships with existing ones.

“We have delivered the leading platform for all prospective and existing Australian borrowers to find a broker, based on their individual needs,” Pannek said.

Richer broker profiles, stronger client connections

The new-look site goes beyond a basic directory by allowing MFAA members to showcase their individual value proposition through richer profiles, including video and social media.

Further to highlighting the value of working with an MFAA accredited broker, the revamped design and functionality enable brokers to add profile photos, short videos, bios, business website and social media links, as well as list their services, specialisations, service areas, meeting preferences, and languages spoken.

Brokers with the Mortgage Finance Professional Australia (MFPA) designation will also have their badge displayed to signal advanced professional education.

“We have also upgraded Find a Broker to be a borrower-first one-stop destination that educates and builds borrower confidence,” Pannek said. “Borrowers want more than just a list of names; they want to know more about their broker, who they can trust and what to expect.

“Every MFAA member can decide what information they want featured on their profile and take the opportunity to stand out by telling potential clients more about themselves, while borrowers will get richer search results, making it easier for them to find a broker that matches their needs.”

Tools, filters, and direct leads for brokers

On the borrower side, the platform now includes deeper search filters, a movable map and a dedicated borrower hub featuring a home loan readiness check, an Australian home buying schemes explorer, repayment and refinancing calculators, and guidance on open banking, scams, and cybersecurity. Member videos also step borrowers through the broking process.

Lead forms allow consumers to contact brokers directly, with enquiries sent straight to the broker’s inbox along with the prospect’s details.

Pannek said the timing of the upgrade is intentional, ahead of the MFAA’s national consumer campaign in March 2026. The 2025 campaign, which ran from 29 May to 31 July, was the association’s largest to date, reaching an estimated 3.9 million Australians.

“There is plenty of time for members to update their profiles in advance of the MFAA consumer campaign, so they can benefit directly,” she said. “You have the opportunity to showcase your high professional standards and unique client value proposition.”

Brokers welcome “simple, powerful” upgrade

Melanie Cunliffe, managing director at Sydney brokerage Indigo Finance, appears in one of the site’s videos explaining how she educates customers through the refinancing process and says the new platform is a significant step forward.

“The enhanced Find a Broker site is a great innovation; simple, yet incredibly powerful,” Cunliffe said.

“In today’s market, it’s no longer just about using a broker, it’s about finding the right one. With features like bios, videos, and service snapshots, it’s a smart tool that allows MFAA members to showcase their strengths, build trust more meaningfully, and importantly, attract clients who truly align with their offering. It’s a win-win in the age of the expert.”

Parag Dixit, director at Nfinity Financials, said the additional profile depth and search tools will help both brokers and borrowers.

“The upgrade to the Find a Broker website is a positive step for the industry. It gives brokers the opportunity to properly introduce themselves, rather than just listing contact details,” Dixit said.

“By sharing our specialisations, how we work with clients and the areas we service, it helps build trust much earlier in the process. From a borrower’s perspective, the improved search tools and richer information make it easier to find a broker who feels like the right fit.”
