The founder of National Finance Brokers Day (NFBD) is continuing to champion the industry by saying brokers can "assist consumers like never before".

NFBD takes place on 15 August and was set up to promote awareness of everything brokers can offer.

Founder Dino Pacella is creating a strong campaign ahead of the day to tell consumers all about brokers, but also to encourage brokers to get involved.

Pacella has said he believes brokers will continue to gain more and more of the home loan market share as consumers look for more in their broker.

He said brokers had a real opportunity to showcase their extensive knowledge and experience to help consumers.

In a statement on LinkedIn, Pacella said, "With so many moving parts currently being experienced within the lending industry this evidently leads to more detailed questions from consumers, who are now seeking out the guidance of true, honest and transparent trusted advisors.

"No longer is a customer wanting someone to simply process a loan application with no additional value provided.

"These new age advisors now have real opportunities to showcase their extensive and current market knowledge allowing them to be able to assist consumers like never before.

"The convenience factor is still a great advantage that brokers bring to the market but I feel the weight of service has shifted to ongoing guidance, strategic advice and up to the minute knowledge, which are simply unbeatable.

"Finance Brokers are responsible for writing more than half of all mortgages within Australia and they will continue to play a vital role within the financial services industry which will see the consumer market as the real beneficiaries of this channel."

NFBD takes place on August 15 and was founded in 2015. It is championing the broker industry on social media and is set to have an event in Sydney on the day.
