Prospa has bought out one of the biggest names in commercial broking by buying out Loanezi.

The deal is set to be completed next month and with it, they have also acquired the services of founder and managing director Renee Tocco, who will take over as northern regional manager for the SME fintech lender.

Tocco will be responsible for Prospa’s relationship with brokers in her native Queensland as well as key markets in New South Wales and the ACT.

It strengthens Prospa’s offering in the broker channel, by brining one of the most experienced operators in SME lending into their team, while also adding over 1,000 SMEs to their customer base.

“Prospa is Australia’s leading online lender to small businesses, and Loanezi brings one of Australia’s best known industry professionals, Renee Tocco, to the Prospa team,” said Beau Bertoli, co-founder of Prospa.

"This strengthens our broker market leadership team and continues our commitment to provide the highest levels of service to all our partners.”

Tocco, who is also a director at CAFBA, added:  "I’m excited to be joining the market leader in small business lending,” she said. "My passion and belief in finance brokers is second to none and in my new role I look forward to providing significant value across the board.”
