The event of the year is almost here: The 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs) are just days away.

This Friday, 16 October, the mortgage and finance broking industries' crème de la crème will descend upon The Fullerton Hotel Sydney for a night of celebrating the people, businesses and standout achievements that have shaped the past 12 months.

With more than 20 categories up for grabs, Excellence Awardees (aka finalists) are in the running for some well-earned industry recognition, and, of course, the bragging rights that come with it.

But seats are down to the final few, so act now. 👉 Register for the 16 October 2026 event at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney

What to expect at the 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards

Widely regarded as the Oscars of Australia's mortgage and finance sectors, the AMAs shine a spotlight on the individuals, organisations and achievements driving the sector forward. Each year, the event brings together the industry’s leading voices and key stakeholders — from brokers, lenders and aggregators to brokerages, BDMs and service providers — for an unforgettable night dedicated to celebrating excellence, recognising outstanding achievement and honouring those who have made a significant impact over the past 12 months.

More than an awards night, the AMAs are a chance to connect with the people shaping the future of the industry, celebrate the successes of the past year and recognise the businesses and individuals setting new benchmarks for excellence.

The Australian Mortgage Awards are produced by Key Media and presented in partnership with Australian Broker and Mortgage Professional Australia (MPA).

Winners will be revealed on the night of the event, at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney's Grand Ballroom, 1 Martin Place, Sydney. Networking and drinks begin at 7 p.m. The awards program and three-course meal begins promptly at 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress in their sharpest black tie attire.

The 2026 event includes Australian singer and actress Kate Ceberano as the feature act, with Emalia Jane, aka DJ Em, supplying the tunes, and Australian TV presenter and author Andrew Daddo as MC.

The official event partner is Westpac. Premium award partners include Brighten and Liberty Financial.

This year's 35-person judges' panel brings together leaders across lending, aggregation, broking, industry bodies and academia. The official list of the 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards judges can be found here.

Why you should attend — what the sponsors are saying

Grant Roden

Bankwest executive manager business support

"The awards give us an opportunity to come together as an industry and celebrate the incredible brokers and organisations setting the standard for excellence in the Australian homebuying experience. We’re particularly proud to sponsor the 'New Brokerage of the Year' award, which recognises fresh industry contributors making a meaningful impact for homebuyers. What I hope to get from the evening is the chance to celebrate alongside some of the best in the industry, connect with our industry partners, and hear about the ideas, innovations and approaches that are shaping the future of the mortgage sector.”

Steve Sampson

Prime Capital chief executive officer

"The Australian Mortgage Awards are a great opportunity to recognise the people and businesses doing outstanding work across our industry. It’s important to take a moment to celebrate the brokers, lenders and teams who are lifting the bar and delivering better outcomes for customers.

For us, it’s also a valuable chance to catch up with brokers, lenders and industry peers, strengthen relationships and have great conversations about what’s happening in the market, both the opportunities and the challenges. Most importantly, it’s a night to celebrate the finalists and winners and the contribution they’re making to the industry."

"At FINSTREET, we believe the Australian Mortgage Awards are more than just a celebration of industry achievements. They bring together people who are driving innovation, building stronger businesses and raising standards across the mortgage industry. After a year of hard work, we believe everyone deserves a night to celebrate their achievements, reconnect with industry friends and simply relax and enjoy themselves.

As a sponsor, we see this as a great opportunity to recognise the people behind the industry's success, strengthen relationships with our broker community and connect with like-minded industry leaders. It's also an opportunity to exchange ideas and build meaningful partnerships that will help shape the future of our industry. This is why FINSTREET has remained committed to supporting the AMAs and hosting the FINSTREET after party for the past four to five years, and why we intend to continue that commitment for many years to come. Our ambition is to make the FINSTREET AMA after party better every year. Not just another networking event, but a celebration that brings our industry together and becomes something everyone genuinely looks forward to.

Ultimately, it's about giving back to the broker community, celebrating our collective success and creating lasting relationships and great memories along the way. Looking forward to another fantastic evening."

Jake Sanders

Firstmac head of third party

"Our industry is always busy working to deliver the best outcomes for brokers and their customers, so the Australian Mortgage Awards are a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect on our achievements and recognise the exceptional work being done across the sector. It’s important to celebrate the people and organisations making a real contribution to the industry, whose efforts might not always receive the recognition they deserve.

The awards also bring together some of the best people in the mortgage industry. We look forward to catching up with long-standing colleagues and industry partners, making new connections and enjoying the chance to have meaningful conversations in a more relaxed setting.”
