Finalists for the 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards revealed

News

By Kellie Ell

The wait is over: the finalists are in.

As the race for the 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs) heats up, the Excellence Awardees, aka finalists, have been unveiled.

Widely regarded as the Oscars of Australia's mortgage and finance sectors, the AMAs recognise the outstanding individuals, organisations and accomplishments shaping the industry. The annual event brings together key stakeholders from across the profession — including brokers, lenders, aggregators, brokerages, BDMs and service providers — to celebrate excellence, honour achievement and acknowledge those making a significant impact on the industry over the last 12 months.

"The Australian Mortgage Awards recognise the brokers, businesses and industry professionals who continue to push the industry forward," David Smith, chief distribution officer at Liberty Financial Group, told Australian Broker. "By celebrating excellence, we acknowledge the commitment, innovation and customer-first approach that help more Australians access the lending solutions they need.

"Reaching finalist status is an achievement in itself," Smith continued. "It reflects the dedication, professionalism and hard work required to deliver strong outcomes in an evolving market. Finalists should be proud to be recognised among the industry's best and for the positive impact they're making for customers and the broader broker community."

Ryan Gair, co-founder and chief executive officer of non-bank lender Rate Money, added: "Being named a finalist is a significant achievement in a competitive industry. Recognition helps highlight best practice and encourages all of us to keep raising the bar. Ultimately, that benefits the industry and the customers we serve."
