The 2025 Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs) are almost here.
The biggest night in Australia’s mortgage and finance industry is making its highly-anticipated return to Sydney in a little more than a month's time.
The annual event, co-hosted by Australian Broker and Mortgage Professional Australia (MPA), brings together standout achievers in Australia's mortgage and finance broking industries. Often referred to as the industry’s Oscars, the evening honors the innovators and leaders setting new standards of excellence.
This year's attendees are in for a treat with Aussie rock icon Daryl Braithwaite serving as the feature act, and TV personality Dave Hughes as the evening’s MC.
As the event draws near – just five weeks away on 17 October – Australian Broker went behind the scenes with previous winners and sponsors to hear what made the night unforgettable, why it’s more than just an awards show and what has them counting down to this year’s event.
NSW state manager at Bluestone Home Loans and presenter at 2024 AMAs
"The Australian Mortgage Awards truly are the Oscars of the mortgage and finance industry. They celebrate excellence, innovation and leadership in a way that elevates the entire sector. For Bluestone, it's a must-attend event. Not just for the prestige, but for the opportunity to connect with peers, celebrate achievements and be inspired by the incredible talent driving our industry forward.
"Last year’s event was something special. The energy in the room was electric and you could really feel the pride and excitement from everyone there. Founder and mortgage broker of Capta Financial and 2024 AMA "Best Broker of the Year — Residential" award winner
"The AMAs sharpen standards, spark collaboration and remind us the work matters. Clients win when the industry learns together. Taking 'Broker of the Year' was humbling and catalytic. It validated our obsession with education and process, and it opened doors for deeper lender relationships, media visibility and, most importantly, renewed trust from clients. The AMAs are where our industry benchmarks itself, swaps practical ideas and celebrates the people behind great client outcomes. You’ll leave with contacts, insights and fresh energy."
Founder and director of coaching firm Broker Essentials and 2024 AMA "Best Industry Service" award winner
"Winning at the AMAs was a moment of pride, not just for me, but for the entire Broker Essentials community. It's more than an award; it's recognition of the brokers we support who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in our industry. The AMAs offer a rare opportunity to celebrate excellence, connect with peers and be inspired. I’d absolutely encourage anyone in the mortgage industry to show up, support others and take in the energy. It’s one night that can reignite your passion for the year ahead.”
