Nominations for the highly-anticipated 2025 Australian Mortgage Awards are still open – but not for long. Industry professionals have until Thursday, 4 July to submit their entries and shine a spotlight on the standout brokers, lenders, aggregators and BDMs helping to shape Australia’s mortgage and finance sector.

Presented by Key Media – parent company to both Australian Broker and Mortgage Professional Alert – the annual awards recognize excellence across 28 categories, including Broker of the Year, Best New Brokerage, Best Major Bank BDM, Best Aggregator, Best Regional Brokerage and more.

With just weeks left until the nomination deadline, now is the time to acknowledge the achievements of your colleagues, partners and peers.

"We believe it's so important to recognize and celebrate the people and businesses setting a high benchmark in our industry," John Athanas, general manager sales and distribution at Resimac, told Australian Broker. "If you know a brokerage that’s going above and beyond, now is the perfect time to nominate them."

Jake Sanders, head of third-party sales at Firstmac, agreed.

"We encourage all mortgage brokers to take a moment to nominate an aggregator business development manager who has gone above and beyond in supporting your business,” Sanders said. “Recognizing the dedication and professionalism of hard-working BDMs not only celebrates their individual efforts but also helps to raise service standards across our industry. Your nomination can make a real difference.

"Aggregators play a vital role in the lending industry," he said, "providing a crucial link between brokers and lenders, and helping non-bank lenders like Firstmac deliver competitive, innovative products to a wider network of customers."

Finalists (aka Excellence Awardees) will be revealed on 11 August.
